We grew up in the same city, less than a mile apart, without ever knowing more than each other’s names. While both attending Michigan State University, mutual friends brought us together and one day discovered how similar we actually were. In Spring of 2011, after three years of college, we were both seeking a creative outlet to apply our passions for fashion and beauty. The perfect solution seemed to be a joint blog; for we noticed that the beauty world was lacking a down to earth and young perspective that involved two similar, yet individual, views on the world. Thus LALAland was created; the name taken from our first names, Lindsey and Andrea.
We hope that while exploring LALAland you find the tools needed to escape to your own unique place. We both believe that you don’t have to spend large amounts of money in order to be creative in any aspect of your life. Whether you’re reading inbetween classes or after a long day of work, we hope that with each post we bring your head up into the clouds.
